An Introduction
|
The Existential Ambush is a short story about a platoon in Charlie Company that ambushes an enemy squad. Marines are caught between the laws of man and those of the jungle. Fate, irony, and luck--both good and bad--are evident in this story.
Near the end of the action, Charlie Company discovers a letter that becomes part of the adventure in Marines of Quế Sơn. This short story is a fictionalized version of an actual ambush conducted by Charlie 1/5, in 1967. |
